Click Here to View Foulks Ranch's School Website The Foulks Ranch was a pioneer ranch of the Elk Grove area. Euphemia Foulks was a widow with small children when she journeyed the many miles across the plains to start a new life in California in 1852. The family members spent their first winter living in the covered wagon, and in the spring, they were finally able to build a small house. Thus began the Foulks legacy that would last for more than a hundred years. Members of the Foulks family were prominent in the development of Elk Grove and south Sacramento and still live in the area. Foulks Ranch School was a pioneer in school construction, existing as a portable school, called a "hopscotch school" until the permanent building was built in 1993. Administration:

Click Here to View Laguna Creek's School Website Elk Grove's fourth comprehensive high school opened in the fall of 1994 with freshmen and sophomore students. In the fall of 1996, it became a complete school with four grades. Laguna Creek is an innovative high school of the future with block scheduling and a fast paced curriculum. The school received its name from the relatively new community of Laguna Creek and the waters that drain a large part of South Sacramento County. Gabriel Moraga, Spanish explorer of the early 1800s, gave the name to the area noting the great swamplands and waterways of the Cosumnes River and its tributaries. Administration:
